capturing from p2

i am trying to capture my footage from the p2 card, i am running fcp 6. firstly when i connect my hvx to my mbp using firewire nothing happens, should the p2 card show up on the desktop?.... then when im in fcp and go to log and transfer nothing comes up.

can someone direct me the right way of capturing from my p2 card using firewire connect to my mbp from the hvx?

Did you install the drivers for the computer to recognize the camera and P2 card that came with the camera?

Go to MCR mode and then hold the mode button down for three or four more seconds, so the cam goes into PC mode.
