Ok, here's the situation...
All day corporate job shooting with 2 HPX500's simultaneously.
Each camera went through about 7-16GB cards rendering 116 clips across all cards.
For what its worth, I work in CS3 Production Studio.
Using P2CMS, I exported each cameras clips into folders labeled Cam1 and Cam2.
So far, so good...
Now, I understand the naming convention assigned by the camera as being 001xx, 002xx, 003xx, and so on, which is fine, but when I dumped the contents of all of the cards into only 2 folders, I realize that I now have 7-001xx, 002xx, and you get the picture... with no distinguishing component other than the time and date stamp.
So in rethinking my workflow, I need to sort by time and date, and then rename the clips 001C1, 002C1, 003C1, and so on.
My question is, if I rename the clips using, say Adobe Bridge, will that mess up anything as it relates to all of those other folders within the Contents folder?
Also, I noticed when I bring the clips into PPro, that I get all 4 audio tracks even though there is only audio on one track.
Is there any way to bring in only the tracks with audio?
Thanks,
Brad
