Hey everybody,

I can't seem to get a logo for a company in DVD Studio Pro without a white background surrounding it. I saved it in photoshop as a pgn and it appears in DVD Studio Pro without a background, but when I drag it to the project, the white background is there again. What am I doing wrong here?

Cheers Niels

Well obviously something about alpha channels in DVDSP. Take it to Motion after you're done in PS and animate it or something. Make it at least fade or float or flash in or something. Not a direct answer to your question, but it sounds like from a karmic spiritual point of view the logo wasn't happy just sitting there. The universe was pushing you to put in more effort and up the production value. Go with the flow.

(sorry not sure whats gotten into me today)

PNG right? That's 8 bit/channel so the white is being keyed as 'transparent' in the alpha which PNG format supports. Once that's imported into certain programs that only support 24 bit, it may indeed block in as white. Remember that PNG is designed as 32bit for the WEB, allowing for transparency- a feature you cannot get with GIF or JPG. I don't know DVD Studio Pro. Does it support 32 color space?
Tell me more then I can help you more:laugh:
