Hi all,

Thanks for answering my question about filming stop-motion without a P2 card. The "snap" function on the FS-100 did the trick. I filmed a few stop motion clips and am trying to import them into Final Cut Pro. I have FCP 5.1.4. I connected the FS-100, copied the appropriate CONTENT folder to my HD, opened FCP, went File->Import->Panasonic P2..., and opened the content folder. All the clips I filmed appeared, and I can watch them in the import window.

Then I try to import them by hitting Add Selection to Queue. The clip goes to the queue, but I just get a red exclamation point in the "status" column, and no progress ever occurs. The error that it gives me (if I hover my mouse pointer over the error icon) is just "Error: Unknown." I tried this for all three short clips I filmed and got the exact same result. Closing and reopening FCP didn't help.

The video was filmed with an HVX200 on 720/24p, with the FS-100 set on DVCPROHD. I'm running OS X 10.4.8, 2g of RAM, 1.67 Ghz PowerPC G4. I read this thread

http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=99958

which seems to discuss the same problem but none of the solutions there (corrupted lastclip.txt, file name too long, etc) are helping. Does anyone have any suggestions besides buying FCP 6?

Thanks again.

P.S. I did read this http://lfhd.blogspot.com/2007/03/p2-import-bug-solved.html and that doesn't help either.

P.P.S. There are no funky symbols like # anywhere in the name of anything involved either.

Did you copy both the lastclip file and the contents folder together after you did an organize p2 in the FS?
