This is open for anyone to answer, but I aim this question at Barry because I think he is knowledgeable in this area :)
Is there any functional difference between a 24p preset for DVCPro HD being set at 60Hz and a 24p preset for DVCPro HD being set at 24Hz?
Premiere Pro CS3 only has the option for 60Hz where I notice that Edius Broadcast is set at 24Hz.
My guess is that it would not make a difference when exporting content out to a 60Hz NTSC format. However, I wonder if judder or artifacts could arise in the 60Hz timeline that would cause possible issues not found on the 24Hz timeline when using native footage from the HVX200.
Is this something that Premiere Pro users should be concerned about? Should we request the ability to edit in a 24Hz mode?
Thanks for any advice.
