Beheading

Hey everyone,
Quick After Effects question.
For fun, I'm making a little scene where I behead my friend Austin, who was nice enough to let me kill him.
Im useing a light saber, so i have an imaginary blade for this particular scene. I have my blade going through his head, and I have removed his head using a freeze frame.

What I have right now is my blade going through his neck and his head dissapearing as he falls backwards.

Any tips on how to make the head fly away?

Thats what I used, thanks anyway
But I want to amek the head fly through the air.
Can I somewho creatre a solid that is just his head?

Yeah, you could, but why would a head shoot up into the air? Realistically, it would just topple off the shoulders and fall to the floor. Definitely doable with a tight mask, and keyframed positioning, will just take some tweaking.

Yeah, topple is a more accurate term, itll just hop off and fall away off screen. Awsome. thanks all, ive got it
