Is this lens of any use wih the Brevis.
I've read that is not sugested to use anything under 2.8...
Why?
Even in bright outdoors?

Thanks!
i believe the reason you don't want a lens that is too slow, regardless of how much light your playing with, is for hotspotting and seeing the GG. I could be wrong though,
tryto stay away from the auto lenses. I imagine you want to control your iris?

You can control the aperture on Nikon lenses, I think its Canon auto's that have the problem.

Some people have had good success with slower zooms on the Brevis. Of course, you'll need more light, but there's no reason it won't work.

This zoom lens will work perfectly. We've invested heavily in R&D with respect to CF1 and CF1L to ensure that even slow zooms will work with the fulll SLR lens frame of view. If you were using CF3, or CF3L, our recommendation would be to use lenses faster than f2.8 for maximum shallow depth of field without grain showing.
