Issue with downloading P2 cards via external harddrive..

I have a harddrive that has several P2 cards downloaded so there are over a dozen different partiions/folders.

My question is how do I create a new folder/partition on it without downloading another P2 card from the camera? I can't just rightclick and create a new folder because the drive shows up as multiple partions not as it's own drive.

I just want to create some blank folders to drag and drop other files from my computer.

I think there is a limit to the number of partitions you can have -- and that if you are already "over a dozen" you are pushing that limit, 15?

What O/S are you using and, perhaps more importantly, do each of your existing partitions contain data (or just directory structure)?

I may not know the best answer to your question but, under these circumstances, I'd be thinking of an additional hard drive rather than doing anything which could be disasterous to the material you already have on this one . . .
