Hey guys,
I've taken a screenshot of a website and I'm doing some animation on it, but I was hoping to give the plane some depth. I've converted it to a 3d-layer, but is there an extrude option or any way to give a flat screenshot some thickness?

Thanks

I would think you need to "cut out" those areas to which you want depth with and give those layers different z depth and maybe have a slow camera zoom which would give it some pop with out it being over the top.

after effects is technically 2.5d, you can work in 3d space but it does not give objects that third demension. to do this there are a couple of options. you can use the zaxworks 3d invigorator or a 3d application. there are some other ways of doing so extrudes in after effects, you can try out this tutorial

good luck
