I know EVSONLINE has a good reputation around, so I ask this carefully... from one broke film maker to another, can they be trusted and has there been any problems with them as of late. I've spent about a month now researching off and on to find the best price for a DVX-100a with the most security (extended warranty), EVS has a pretty sweet deal with an offered extended four year Mac Warranty that pretty much beats out anything else I've seen. I know this is a sore subject cause cause every new user asks, but I've been doing side by side comparisons between resellerratings.com (which EVSONLINE has only a handfull of positive posts) and CNET's trusted reseller rating program (which EVSONLINE doesn't even show up). any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Rush and EVSonline always come through. I have little to my name but my biggest equipment my DVX, my Sennheiser mic, and my Pelican case...all of which I bought through Rush and EVS!

Do a search and you'll see how good they are...you'll also see that Rush is a member here, who always helps with info about products and set ups. Great guy.

My 2 cents.

Does Rush actually work for EVS, does he know what they currently have in stock?

Yes he works for EVS. I just purchased over 7,000.00 dollars from him. He knows his stuff and EVS is by far the BEST camera equipment store online...in my opinion anyway..

And Rush will give you a special DVXuser.com member price because hes such a great guy :)

Seriously, he knows his stuff and will take care of you. He also comes here and posts alot of posts so you kinda get to know who you are buying from.

Thanks Jarred, I already called once and talked to a Tommy, I didn't know of Rush at the time so I didn't ask. He said they are currently out of stock but would be getting another shipment in this week. He asked if I knew of DVXUSER.COM I told him I signed up a month ago and he quoted me around 3,500 for a 100a, four year extended Mac warranty, and shipping from California...does that sound about right? the site alone clearly states that's about the price for just the camera.

I have visited their physical location. It is a huge warehouse with a tiny showroom - seems that the company is focused on online sales.

The salespeople I spoke to gave me honest recommendations and are involved with shooting video themselves, and seemed excited about their own and their clients' projects.

The showroom had a few DVX100a's in it.

They respect the "magic word DVXUSER" and gave me a discount on the stuff I was buying - and confirmed that they have a person dedicated to the orders coming from dvxusers.com (which leads me to the conclusion that if someone was unhappy, you would be reading about it here).

I bought monopods and camera cleaning kits.
Later, I bought tapes from them online (had the best prices on MQ63 tapes).

I find them to be trustworthy and understanding to my needs and will be using them in the future.

quick unsolicited plug.
EVS = rock solid business people. In short, an order got botched from a drop shipper. They did an outstanding job getting this resolved even though the error was discovered 6 months later.

Chris

I've ordered 2 DVrig Pros from them and a Pelican case. They were completely helpful on the phone, gave me tips on how I could save some money on other purchases. Really nice people. I've spoken with Ramsey and Tommy.

evs is a great place to buy stuff.

i have bought a bunch of things from them, tripod, boom, tons of tapes, i wish i had discovered them before i bought my first dvx-100a but i just got a quote from rush and when i'm ready to place the order for my second one he will be who i trust.

they have been really helpful, including rushing me some stuff i needed at the last minute the day before i was going out of town to shoot for two weeks and realized i forgot to order something.
