Just got my 100b,

still using it in auto mode (sry newbie),

I am primarily a sports videographer and shoot youth sports (football) right now.

after receiving the camera, read for about 10 hours and it seems i should use the 60i for sports.

I shot last saturday afternoon in 60i with 500 shutter and all other in auto mode.

Anyone think I could shoot in 24P and get better image ?

any suggestions ?

need some real advice, because once I start shooting the games, cant really experiment with settings on the fly.

also, all of my footage is for end of the year highlight reels and coaching footage.

thanks

Tin Man

ive always been told to shoot sports in 60i or 30 cuz of the fast moving action and the jitterness of the 24 dont mesh. but i guees you can always shoot some sports that you know you dont need in 24 to see how it looks.

Experement with the different frame rates. I think 30p is the way to go for sports, i dont know WHO would think 60i looks better (noone in their right mind anyway :p)

i think the only reason ppl say use 60i its cuz it has that live news look to it.

Yeah that makes sense. But still, interlaced looks so bad.

greatly appreciated,

shot about 10 games so far and think i can do better with the look. i guess moving up from consumer cam, the 100b makes any mode look good, LOL.

i am going to try and shoot this saturday in 30p, maybe make a side by side comparison video.

thanks again

Here (http://dodownload.filefront.com/8510222//9647d45da14ccdf4db9d9826dfa05f2df73e3a3d596b965932 c970d17834dcb94e310ea0b91d647b) is football under the lights, 30P with the DVX100b short clip no sound, but its full quality 80mb. I go 60i or 30P in sports myself. You must right click and save as.
