I can provide pictures, receipts, you name it. Tell me what you want for proof and I will be happy to oblige. I've made many purchases on the FredMiranda.com board if any of you folks are photographers.
Anyone interested, let me know.

I was actually never "in" videography. I got out of the Navy in February and wanted to go into editing film and doing some independant production work - hence the DVX. I've got a wife and a one year old and financially, it hasn't been working. I've accepted a job in Knoxville that has nothing to do with video, and therefore, I have no need for the camera. I'd love to keep it for home movies, etc, but I can't justify the cost when we're buying a new home.

Sorry to hear your filmaking has taken a backseat to the priorites; I know all to well this tale. Dont sweat it. Later down the road you can get back into it if you feel its the right thing to do. The wife and kid ALWAYS have to come first (Familia).
Hell, I was 33 before I could start making sacrifices financially to pursue this stupid dream. This is a great deal.

For you other members, I need a recommendation on the best way to go about doing this deal with Scott with the least risk. I know Ebay has some "insurance" type of thing. I can't afford to spend the money and not getting what I am expecting to get (not implying that you would rip me off, Scott, but I don't know you and you don't know me, and this type of thing happens all too often from what I have read). Anyway, does anybody have a suggestion on a way that we could do this long distance with the least risk for both parties?
Feel free to e-mail me at jesse at i-tecusa dot org
Thanks.

I wanted to let the board know that the camera appears to be sold. I had several users contacting me today about it and recieved an offer this afternoon that satisfied both myself and the purchaser concerning the details.
I just recieved a phone call from Jesse saying he wanted the camera, but unfortunately I had just agreed to the deal about 15 minutes before with the purchaser. I feel badly, as Jesse had contacted me this morning via email saying " I want to do this, but I just don’t know the best way to ensure that I am getting what I am paying for." He went into detail after that about trying to find a way satisfy both parties concerning exchanging funds. To me, the operative word was "but". I did not take this to mean that the deal was done as I was not comfortable with the options he was presenting for payment.
Regardless, I want to be above board with the folks here, and with Jesse. I may have misinterpereted his statement and I know he is upset. Believe me - I feel badly, but I did not interperet his statement as a "done deal". I know neither Jesse, nor the purchaser, and I can assure all here that it is selling at the advertised price. I am in no way trying to play favorites - that would be impossible since I don't know these folks.
In any case, I regret any misunderstandings or hurt feelings - sincerely.
Regards to all, enjoy your cameras and this fine message board.

No hard feelings. I understand that those things happen. Hopefully I will be able to find another one out there somewhere before too long.
