Do the ending credits have to be 10 seconds or can they be less, say 5 seconds or so?

What does the final delivered file size have to be?

xx mb & 480x240?

in the past there has not been a restriction on resolution, basically however big you can make it for the specified mb, but it had to be 16:9.

I really hope that it's 50 mb.

Beats me on the credits, but if it says 10 seconds, that's what id go with.

I didn't see anything about this one being 16:9 though, or did I miss that?

It is 16:9,

Yes, I remember reading 16:9

I actually went slightly longer on the end credits (15 sec.) since my film was way under the time limit anyway... is this ok?

No, cut it down to 10 seconds or I'll ignore the last 5 seconds.

Just kidding! I'm sure they don't really care that much...
I would hope so anyway.

It states in the fest rules all films to be formatted 16:9 or 2:35.

"The following format must be followed. Film Title (any format), body of film, 10 seconds of credits (which must clearly acknowledge dvxuser.com)"

my question is about that front title. do we have to have a black title leader and then our film? Because i have my company/actor/film title cleverly worked into the first 30 seconds of ours like

a clean slate production

In Pieces

the 10 seconds of credits at the end is no biggie.

Yeah, good point dude... same with my short (title is a part of the film)

Yeah this title question is kinda bugging me.

Man, you guys are asking some good questions. I hadn't thought of them yet, I guess because I haven't gotten to that point yet. I film this weekend, but I would like to know how much wiggle room with the credits thing.

10-12-2007, 01:42 PM
I asked that question in my thread, and someone told me they asked and were told that it was ok to not have the title right at the front. I think they just say that so that people remember to put the title of the film in their entry.

I'm sure you could have you're proper graphics film title in there at whatever point you want but you must have a title card first.

I think you guys would be best off asking your questions in the official thread with the rules, so Barry_S or Larry can respond to it, or pm one of them directly if it's something you'd rather not share with the whole forum.
