What are you using to author the DVDs?

The platform and the authoring program are the two crucial factors. And are you looking at blu ray or HD DVD with what burner and set top player?

If you have this program, then you can burn to a blu ray drive.

You would need a blu ray burner to create blu ray discs.

Ok thanks.
With out blu-ray, there is no way to put HD video on a regular DVD?

You create an hd dvd and then burn it to a regular dvd. You get a maximum of 20 minutes of footage or so. Do a search there's quiet a few threads about it.
The only info i can find for now is on another forum here (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=667462)
I works very well and is a good compromise untill hd dvd burners are available. I hope it's ok to post a link to another forum.
