View Full Version : compressing the color red... HELP

ok, so I have a problem.

Shooting the color red on a p2 card, and then compressing the video down (in final cut) for streaming on the internet, i'm getting a slight zebra effect with the color red. in other words, the clips look very nice before compression. but after compressing the video the edges of red look "blocky." is there any way around this occurrence or another way of compressing that i don't know about?

Desaturate reds before going to a 4:2:0 or 4:1:1 codec

Reds are a pita
