Howdy,
A couple months back I posted my 48 Hour movie for this year.
(here's a link to the original thread: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=106573&highlight=sci-fi+short )
I have since done some color-correction, a tiny bit of sound tweaking, and I trimmed about 15 seconds off the edit. I didn't want to do too much, since part of the fun is that it was done in 48 hours.
I'm curious what people think now:

Still Great!
Have you tried it with the wife shrieking at the end after you fade to black? It could be corny but it could work if done well.
Also, what set up did you use for sound during production and post?
Great Job! This is one of the pieces I actually keep to watch now and then!

Thanks.
We had the wife saying a line there, and pulled it, and also a "shriek" on the soundtrack, and pulled it. They did cross to "corny" I thought.
My sound set up: Oktava MK012 hypercardiod mic plugged into a Mackie 1202-VLZ3 mixer, the output of which I run into the HV20.
In post I usually clean up/master the sound track in Soundtrack, but didn't have time on this one.

Did you have the Okavia on a boom or on cam or!?!?? When Ed and Joe are walking down the hallway and Joe is admonishing him it sounds fantastic! You can hear them come closer and closer but from start to finish the dialog sounds great.

The Oktava was on a boom - on-board mics aren't great for getting sound like this.
I was pretty happy with that shot in general - the available lighting was great (one of the lights was broken), and the sound worked perfectly.
Actually - the biggest problem with the Oktava is that it is too good. It picks up everything - including the dolly wheels turning. The crew had to all walk in our socks so we weren't heard. Thankfully, the music covers up the excess noise made by the dolly.

Right! But they are so frig'n far away from the mic when they come around the corner and it still sounds great!
At first blush I wondered if they had on wireless lavs but you can hear them get naturally get louder as they come closer.

Nice... and anyway because of the industrial setting it wouldn't have been out of the ordinary if it was just slightly in the background anyway.
