Export to P2 Card

Hey I have a question and couldn't find an answer when I used search, so I apologize if this has been addressed before.

Tomorrow I have a shoot where the final product will be cropped to 800x225 for some website. The director and producers want to mask of the monitor so we can get a rough aspect ratio on set for proper framing.

I was planing on creating an aspect ratio guide via After Effects in 720p , then exporting it to my P2 card so I can play it back on the HVX and then mask off my monitor, before the shoot.

So my question is: can I, and if so how do I export or "print to card" a quick little DVCPRO HD 720p clip? Do I need to create a .mxf file or something?

Ummm, couldn't you just print a card out in your ratio and use that?

Without knowing what platform you are on and with what NLE it's hard to provide assistance.

Sorry my bad for not giving the details. I just did it standard def, and exported to tape. Worked fine. I should have thought of that earlier.

But I'd still like to know if it can be done.

I'm on a PPC 4 x 2.5GHZ Mac with Final Cut Studio 2.
