Not the media, the actual card. Is it bad to just leave it in the camera for a long period of time? I mean, I have one card, transfer the media over a USB2.

I really have no reason to ever take it out.

Will it decrease it's life span if I leave it on there for a prolonged time?

I don't think so. I leave mine in the camera and have been doing that for a year and a half. Sometimes it gets in its little plastic home but it prefers to be locked and loaded. If ya gonna own a gun it should be loaded... same with our HVX
