Just recently purchased a blackmagic intensity card. was wondering If i could somehow hook the HVX to record directly to it. IS there an adapter to go from the OUT of the P2 slots then IN to this HDMI card?

Nope.
You'd need an Analog Component to HDMI adapter.

so then it would be of component quality- not HDMI correct? there wouldnt really be a point to go to HDMI??

It would be better to capture with firewire.

The output is component, and the Intensity can't change that.

There are advantages recording through component, but they are negotiable and only relevant if you record to a better codec than DVCPRO HD, if you choose to go the DVCPRO HD route, you may as well record through firewire.

But as I said, it's not a total win/win, you gain some and you lose some.
I'd much have preferred to have HD-SDI out from the cam.

I think we'd all like an uncompressed output! Here's what I use to convert component to HDMI with this box:

(says discontinued, but can be purchased below and @ other sites)
