Macpro OS question

I bought a Macpro last week from a guy and he is out of town for several days. Iam trying to open Safari and it is password protected. I dont have his old pw so my question is ...can I change his PW somehow or is there another work around?

you can reinstall the os, which is what you should have done, or he should have done. how much did you buy a used macpro for?

Yeah, thats what I plan on doing. Was just wanting a quick fix before I have to go that route. Thanks
