Question about FCP6 and p2 importing........

Ok, I know this may be a stupid question but i am very new to final cut pro (been using premiere for years),

I went out and shot time lapse footage in London last night and used the frame rate hack (stunning images, I love this camera....) anyway i thought that final cut 6 did not support native p2 so what is actually happening when i log and transfer the 2 frames per second native footage i shot?? is it possible to extract the native frames recorded?

Frame Rate Converter under the tools menu. It's in the documentation and would be a good idea to familiarize yourself with the app.
