Predator ruined?

Do you think that the Predator and Alien(s) franchises have been totally ruined by the Alien vs. Predator crap?

Would you like to see another movie with only the Predator in it?

I think the franchise has stepped down to the dumbest level.

Even Alien 4 satisifed me, with Aleins being a masterpeice of action sci fi. One can only hope it being brougt back to its roots one day

I have never seen AVP and I would like to keep it that way. That said I don't think it's impossible for a franchise to be ruined because of a decline in quality Alien, and Predator are still classics and no amount of sequels can tarnish that.
