Naming Convention Best Practices

Is there a standard approach to naming conventions in FCP in terms of bins, clips, subclips, audio? I know response will be subjective, but I would be curious to hear how different people approach the organization and naming of objects in FCP, and if anyone feels that they have come up with the "gold-standard" organizing/naming approach.

Depends on what sort of material- is it DV or P2, etc. Are you capturing clips one at a time or whole tapes at once? Shane Ross has a DVD that might help you out:

Looks like just the DVD I need - will purchase. I am using DV. Curious to see other approaches.

Doesn't matter what format you shoot...organization will be the same if you shot film.
