View Full Version : Dragging segments to the timeline

As of this morning, when I select a whole group of segments (usually around 80 per tape) in the browser and drag them to the timeline, they appear in a completely random order on the timeline.

Every time I do it, they'll appear in a different order.

Before today, it would behave normally and the segments would line up in the timeline in order, numbered from lowest to highest, left to right.

What could possibly have changed?

Any ideas?

I have the same problem, It seems like it should be a simple fix.

Hey TMY - for me it was either a temporary glitch that went away on its own or it was a bug that was fixed in an update, because I'm no longer having the problem.

Wish I could tell you specifically how to fix it, it is very annoying.

For what it's worth - I'm running FCP 6.0.2 on 10.5.2.

I'll give it an update and see if it helps. I'm running 6.0 in 10.4.11. Does 10.5 handle FCP any differently?

looks like it was just a 6.0 bug

Cool, thanks for confirming that! Glad it's working for you now and glad it wasn't just me. :)

And no, no changes running FCP in Leopard as far as I can tell.
