How did they do that camera movment from going to the lower level in animation, then blending in with real people???? they did it like 3 times..........did they just have an animated map of the place, then they filmed the actual shot, and pretty much time it?

Where we go from the 3D graphic of the complex, to Milla looking through the window into the computer-room corridor?

1) Time out the desired shot sequence in previs

2) Program your camera support (technocrane, etc) for the desired live-action movement

3) Key up your 3D animation using the camera file to match-move with and into your live-action shot.

It's really not strictly necessary, for the live camera move to be programmed. It can work perfectly well as an 'old-fashioned' craned/dollied shot, which is then motion-tracked in post to match its movement with the CG (or more accurately, the CG's with the camera's).

The 'matchmove' guys you see more and more of in the credits, handle that kind of workflow.
