So I'm getting this warning about capturing a "ndf media into a df clip" thing, and I pretty much get the idea. I can go and change it even after I've logged stuff and I've done so. The DVX100a that I shot on, records NDF no matter what, I'm fine with that, but for some reason only recently I get this warning in FCP about capturing and I see that it always logs NDF not DF now and it never did before and everything was fine.
All I need to know is how do I get it to actually LOG things in DF time time code so I can stop getting this dumb warning? Thats how it's always done it before, but now it logs them one way and makes me go back and change each one manually. Where is the setting, and how do I get it to stay?
I'm using a G4, powermac mirrordoor dual 1ghz, with 2 gig mem, and FCP 5.1.4 and a Panasonic dv2500 deck.

You just need to change your capture settings in the Log & Capture window. Device Control should be set to Firewire NTSC NDF.

perfect,
Thanks! Must have been reset when I upgraded FCP.

Just out of curiousity does anyone know if it makes that much difference which is being used and if some instances of both get mixed? Probably not much of what I edit will go to broadcast, so beyond that I don't see much conflict with short projects.
