View Full Version : Will this Powerbook work for FCP 6?

I'm about to buy this powerbook, and I want to make sure I can easily use the newest version of FCP with it.

It's the 17 inch on the far right. The only difference is that it has 2GB of RAM and Tiger instead of Panther.

Depends on your definition of easily. A present model iMac or a used G5 would best it mightily in terms of performance.

Well, I'd really prefer a laptop, and I'll primarily be editing 24F SD footage from a Canon A1.

Then a MacBook Pro is what you want. Powerbook is ok but you'll wish you had more power.

Yeah, it's gonna suck until I can upgrade. I want to upgrade to a desktop first so that makes the laptop suck even more...:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
