I am having a problem with a clip I made in Quicktime Pro. I used Quicktime's built in film noise filter to add an old super-8 film effect to the clip. Any time I do something to this clip, like move it or add a transition to the end, I have to re-render the whole thing and it's getting annoying. Here's what I did:
I edited a few clips in a timeline that I shot on a HVX
Exported the scene from FCP using "Quicktime Movie..."
Opened the file in Quicktime Pro
Fixed the aspect ratio (Command-J) to 853x480
Opened the Export window
Selected "Movie to Quicktime Movie"
Selected "Options"
Selected "Filters"
Selected "Film Noise"
Made the selections
Selected "OK"
Saved to desktop
Dropped the clip back in my timeline with other normally captured HVX footage
Rendered and rendered again and again with every move
Any suggestions to make this clip act like all of my other footage that does not need rendering??? Should add a step and export the modified clip as DV Stream in Quicktime and then import it into FCP?
