I really want to see this movie. Jessica Alba and Dane Cook. This is going to be the greatest movie ever. Just kidding, but I am expecting it to be in my Top 10 of the year.
I think the movie looks hilarious.

I hang out with way too many comedians to even be able to bring up Dane Cook's name without being pelted with tomatoes. Much less admit to seeing his movie. I'll have to go incognito. :)

I'll say it again...
I think Dane Cook is the most unfunny comedian of all time.
He make Sinbad's bits sound like Robin Williams' by comparison.
Mark, I know that you are referencing his plagiarism, but it's not
even funny rehashed stuff...It's like a Del Frisco's steak: Nothin
better when it is going in to the body, but coming out...?
Edit:
I swear I think all these people who tell me he's funny are part
of a big, Truman-Show-like facade...and I'm the only schmucko
not in on it!!!

What's wrong with Sinbad? He has a great stand-up routine.

I doubt this movie will be all that funny. I do enjoy Alba though, so I will see it. She was great in Dark Angel.
I thought DC was hilarious the first time I saw his standup. High energy, physical comedy. The most unfunny of all time? C'mon that's pushing it. Seen Last Comic Standing? That show makes _me_ want to start doing standup its so bad. Good Luck Chuck is definitely going to the top of my NetFLix list in 3 months.

I'll take a 7 hour stint with a Last Comic Standing REJECT over a 5 minute Dane Cook set any day of the week

Now that's funny.
This movie seems like a rehashed There's Something About Mary. Just replace Diaz with the T&A offering du jour who talks repeatedly about being taken seriously, yet always does magazine interviews with half-naked spreads and films where she has got to strip down to her undies, and sub out Stiller with a quasi-funny dude who could stand to be tasered every now and then.

DVXuser is funny... you feel stupid when you're swimming against the stream, but it sure feels good to see another salmon every now and then...
What the hell does that mean?
I don't know... but I sure feel better seeing Callaghan's post. I can't make sense of the DC thing for the life of me... I just don't get it. The stolen bits are bad enough... but I don't even CARE about that part of it.
I've been tempted to do a youtube "how to be a comedian" video... all you have to do is talk about an object, then make the sound of that object, or else build a sentence up into a yelling frenzy and take the yelling one sentence too long, or act as you tell the story... I mean talk about climbing and act like you're climbing... people will love it.
Basically the dumbing down of comedy is breaking my heart... you got guys like Mitch Hedberg or Steven Wright (or DOZENS of others) who come up with genuinely clever crap... and they're mixed in with a big crowd of people who yell and make funny faces and voices as they tell a fairly boring story.

I saw that guy on Jay Leno (or was it Conan O'Brien?) the other night and I didn't think he was funny at all. If anything, I'd say he's annoying as hell...
I think I'll pass on this movie...

I hear you, pally...
The fact that no-talent assbags (like this mamaluk) command so much attention is pretty damn disheartening.
Just one more way that I feel a major disconnect with this generation

Yeah, at least your wife doesn't have a crush on this douchebag.
You might have legal grounds for divorce there.
Molly Shannon's interpretation of a brutally bad eighties lesbian comic (redundant?) is pretty much funnier than this guy.

Dane is as funny as Sinbad, not the comedian he is hilarious I'm talking about the sailor but then again he wasn't meant to be funny.

I was supposed to see Death at a Funeral with my Nan but we missed it and lent up seeing Good Luck Chuck instead - big mistake. Now the movie was watchable (5 or 6 out of 10) but there were boobs every ten seconds. Usually I'd give that the thumbs up but not good when watching with your Nan. Uncomfortable. Thankfully she went to sleep 3/4 in.
The movie is like a Something about Mary wannabe, just half as good. I was surprised Alba took the role she must be slipping.

Wow... I actually got stuck going to Good Luck chuck and thought it was pretty damn funny.
The other cast members gave it life and Dane Cook toned it waaaay down.
