OK, for the EXTREME TV trivia buffs out there . . .
There was a fictional news broadcast on NBC in 1983 which purported depicted some disgruntled nuclear scientists holding Charleston, SC, hostage with a homemade nuclear device, demanding the US hand over its nuclear triggers, else they'd detonate. It was done news-style, with disclaimers to say it was all fake. It was called "Special Bulletin."
The fictional network was "RBS."
Now, I remember, a few years later, watching some made-for-TV sci-fi miniseries or movie which had RBS in it -- same logo, same news set (I think), but it wasn't a fake news broadcast.
I've been racking my brain trying to remember what it was, and I'm seriously blanking.
Anyone? Sad Max?
