I'm doctoring some photos and I'm encountering problems with old pictures. There's a hot spot in the middle of these old images, which makes them difficult to edit.
How do I keep color temperature consistent in this image?

Bump. Time is of the essence.
Also, my crop tool has been flaky lately. It won't let me crop anything I want, for example, I couldn't crop from the top left to the bottom right of a photo, and I could before.
When cropping these old photos, I have to use the Rectangular Marquee tool to select what I want to keep, select inverse, delete, and then trim, instead of just using the crop tool.

Make a selection uing the Magnetic Lasso tool aroudn the areas that are to bright, and then once they are selected...hit control m, and bring them down...or u can use levels...
Try to reinstall photoshop, that might get your cropping back in tact
