Ok first of all, hi all :P I'm a newbie at this so please bare with me. I've been reading pages up and down but I'm still left with a few questions about the HV20.
We're going to do a whole lot of filming in the future and we need a solid camera with really great picture quality. We also need to make sure that the sound is excellent, so we're thinking about buying an external mic with a receiver. We've heard good things about Sennheiser :)
In our video clips we'll be introducing products on a stage in a studio, so we're going to place the camera on a tripod and we won't be doing a whole lot of zooming, but the camera needs to have perfect picture quality and excellent sound. The people on stage will be wearing wireless mic's that are "connected" to the receiver in the camera.
What if we later on decide to release a dvd? Will the image quality of the HV20 be good enough to play on HDTV's or do we have to look at something more in the range of the XM2? Do we really have to get a 3CCD cam if we're going to publish our work on the web?
Currently we're obviously looking at the Canon HV20, but we've also heard good things about the Sony HDR-HC7 or the Canon DM-XM2. I saw the HC7 has some wireless bluetooth mic option, I'm not sure about the quality of the sound though compared to a receiver/mic combo from Sennheiser.
My basic question is really, can the HV20 do the job that we have ahead of us? :)
I hope you can help me out, thanks a mill!
PS MODS: Please move this to the HV20 forum, missed the sub category!
