My personal favorite.....
Door insert poster for 'The Shining'
It brings together 3 things I really like: Stanley Kubrick, Saul Bass, and Stephen King
http://www.pitchproductions.com/pics/shining.jpg
And the best part is....it's hanging in my living room.
Best present my wife ever gave me.

I'm a collector...
My prized posters are:
-Original German Raiders of the Lost Ark (1 1/2 sheet)
-Original Italian Godfather
-Original Darby O'Gill & the Little People
I had an original Revenge of the Jedi, but sold it a few years back...
I also have:
Jaws
E.T.
Blade Runner
Clash of the Titans
Conan the Barbarian
That's Entertainment (1 & 2)
Star Wars...and more
My favorite poster(s) of all time (no big surprise to many here) is/are
http://www.dvxuser6.com/uploaded/6548/1189449736.jpghttp://www.dvxuser6.com/uploaded/6548/1189449778.jpghttp://www.dvxuser6.com/uploaded/6548/1189449804.jpghttp://www.dvxuser6.com/uploaded/6548/1189449826.jpg
...I actually had a chance to pick up a Polish version awhile back for a (relatively) decent price, but passed. I wanna wait till I can swing an American, French or German edition.

Callaghan,
I buy all of my posters from AllPosters.com and I get them mounted on wood. You can see a sample here: http://www.allposters.com/gallery.asp?CID=557A1DFCF38D4F90845E21CC27AAD1B6&apnum=1757&startat=/getMounted.asp
They look great.

Oooh, I really like the look of them mounted on wood. Is there some sort of coating over the front of the poster?

I respect that
My thoughts are (if it is indeed regarding his meltdown)
We're all human, we're all insecure, we all have demons ...
None of us are perfect, he fucked up. He admitted it.
I donlt know him, I love his work. The fact he came forth and said sorry and admitted he had some issues got me nothing but respect (unlike other celebrities who just outright live in denial) for being honest and accountable

Hope that's okay.

Yeah. Steve McQueen was more man than most of us will ever be. At least, he made being a man look good - better, he made it look cool.
I aspire to carry myself like McQueen. I wish I had his Mustang exploding out of my pants is what I'm trying to say.
Wait...
That didn't come out right.
I meant to say, "I want McQueen in my pants."
No... that isn't right either.

The posters for Rocky and Rocky 6 are very, very good. They really bring out the spirit of the film.

Love the "Metropolis" Poster
Moulin Rouge's poster is also good
Don't know how to post pictures, but I recall "Psycho" (uk poster) was nice.
The same goes to "Vertigo"- Hitchcock's movies had great posters.
http://www.cinemasterpieces.com/vertigoapr05.jpg
"The Godfather" is also a great poster.

Latelly, really enjoyed the poster of "Paris, Je T'Aime"

...I donlt know him, I love his work....
Mel Gibson is my #2 favorite director working today (behind Spielberg.) First Braveheart -then- The Passion of the Christ -then- Apacolypto...........Fuckin' Fughedaboutit! What a roll he is on! Hell, even his debut flick The Man Without A Face was pretty freakin good for his first time at bat (just take a look at some other favorite directors' freshman films!)
