I have a short 11 minute video set on my timeline, vegas 7, and have rendered a few different ways, I am wondering if the avi clips making up the timeline have suffered at all because of being rendered a few times. Cineform HDV Neo was used. Each successive dvd looks like it might have.

Interframe encoding like HDV is far more susceptible to generational loss than intraframe, like DV.

So,I have hdv on the timeline, and I want hdv on the dvd, using Sony Architech, I don't think I am actually going to get hd. If normally its rendered out with vegas ntsc dvd I wondering how much is lost. In the last two renders I did them as hdv and put them into sony architech. the first one was good, I took that one, added more clips to it, still a sony veg file, then rendered that, second one looked like crap. Bottom line I guess I am limited using ehat I have without going to a hd deck etc. right!

If you render from your original clips, going to DVD will be fine. It's only if you render the clips 2-3 times or more, and THEN render for DVD, when you'll start to see problems.
