Has anyone tried on the new Intel macs to actually run Vegas using bootcamp?
IŽd love to see if it works, and how fast.

Works just fine. Runs as fast as it would on a Windows-only machine.

runs great on my MacBook Pro as well as my MacPro - render times are no different than a non-Mac Intel machine.
You should see Vegas 8 render times - wow.

We've run tests at the VASST studios for Vegas 8 betas - So you'll see the improvements here shortly when Vegas 8 is available. Very impressive and color handling now in 32 bit should make you happy as well.
