I was doing my normal pawn and thrift shopping for props, and I found a secuirty camera for cheap. It hooks up via S-video. In order for me to recorder with this I need an adaptor or to build one. Any suggestions on where to start. I have an Old PC with a S-Video In and Out, and have considered the fact of using that to capture, using premiere. But the cord for it is very short so I still would need an adaptor to legthen the cord. Any suggestions would be great. I'd like to pic this up, i think it might come in usefull.

what are you looking for... a longer s-video cable?

If you are looking for a longer s-video cable try ebay. I bought a 100 ft one last year for about 20 bucks or so including shipping. Not sure about capturing to premiere with it though. I use it for "video village"

Yes I would be looking for a a cable to connect to the cable running off the camera to make it longer. But what im really looking for is an adaptor, or a way to record it. How would I go about recording with the Security camera. I know like i have a S-video imput on my DVX camera but i dont think you can put another camera into another camera. I need a adaptor to a video and auio, and auio dont matter, to hook into a vcr or if on exsists firewire. Anyone have a clue? Buit one?

oh man and I just hit senior, i gradjamatated.

you can record on the DVX in video mode though the S-Video cable. but why use the security camera when you have a DVX?

well the adapter thing, we need to know the sex of the cable you have, is it m/m?
If it is... you need a longer f/m to go to camera. hopefully we're talking 4 pin s-video?

Why do i want to use this? I dont know? Ever wanna different look, and actually not do it in post and try and see what it looks like. Then do some post on it. Anyways I dont know the pin count should of got that and it was a male plug, and its a female on the dvx correct?
