Vegas 6c and Raylight 3 in a 720 24PN project 1280x720.

Raylight is generating a timecode burn in yellow, green and blue for almost every MXF clip, however, the timecode in and out isn't showing in the Vegas Media Manager bins in "Detailed" view.

I've got hundreds of short clips to root through and no time to re-log. Is there a way to search by absolute timecode numbers - not the in or out point - a logged point within a clip (e.g.,

Also, should I switch over the timecode settings to IVTC in the PROJECT SETTINGS > RULER (ruler time format)? IVTC 23.976 is already set up in the VIDEO tab as per DVFilm's Raylight 720 24PN recommendations. It doesn't seem to change the media manager's ability to read the MXF timecode in and out points.

Okay, thanks to the editors out there! I know it'll go much easier if I can easily sort the MXF clips when there is some real timecode information behind them!

Okay, so this is what I was talking about. Raylight is bringing the MXF clips into Vegas - no issues. Timecode is being generated in preview and renders as a burn-in window. Why isn't the data showing up in the media manager? Note how the preview window shows the burn-in, however the manager to the left has no TC data.

Confusing...

I get timecode -- but it starts at 00:00:00.00 for every clip and then counts out to the last frame, so it makes sense that the Timecode In column will show what you see.

Why it's not showing the true timecode, I don't know.

I'm wondering if it is a setting within Vegas that's limiting its ability to read the data. I changed the ruler to IVTC 23.976 from whatever it normally defaults to and that didn't help. What should my ruler be set to for IVTC 23.976 24PN projects anyway? At this point, it is doing a cummulative count for the entire project.

That's the right setting for the ruler.

I don't know what setting that would be in Vegas -- it could be that the data aren't making it through Raylight. After all, Vegas wouldn't be able to read anything from the MXFs if not for Raylight. Might be a question for Marcus.
