Hello all,
Not sure if this is the best place to post this but here goes. I have a sony Monitor (LMD-9050) and about a year ago someone stole the AC power supply that fits into the "V" mount on the back of the monitor.

I've tried to find the replacement for it but I believe it doesn't exist, I've had several "gear" houses look for the part and it isn't anywhere to be found.

Here's my question: How can I make an adaptor to power the monitor from an AC outlet, or where can I buy one?

If I get a power adaptor and cut off the end of it and solder an xlr to the end of it and plug that into the DC port of the monitor will I "fry" it, even if I make sure it's supplying 12Volts @ 2.2Amps?
