The boom is a squeegee pole. 6ft long, collapsable, and very lightweight. Best I could ask for, really.

The fitting is a 1/4" bolt with a wingnut, drilled through a hacked up broom attachment that came with the pole, so it's removable.

The shoulder mount was made out of wood I found, metal bars I found, and various pipes (for the handles) and bolts I had to pick up at Home Depot. You can remove the shoulder mount from it via the two connector bolts. This is good for when you can't film from shoulder level, and it gives a more secure hold that using the camera directly (especially on such a small camera as this).
