was tryin out vegas for the first time, seems to be goin well, however sometimes the effects don't work for some reason ? ....like for example ...was trying to color correct and placed color correction on the vid ...tried to correct the colors but just nothing is happening .....tried with other effects ..and nothing happend ......then BOOM it started working later on normaly ..then boom again stopped...

anyone ?

Get the latest version of Vegas. Save your project and then close it down and up again. If that's a genuine bug there is not much you can do.

Do you have the little button above the preview window -- the circle inside a square -- clicked? Unclick it.

I often find myself in similar situations...do something in CC or whatever and not see any change in the preview...

...because I was not changing anything in the event I was working on. I was changing things in another event...for which the FX was still displayed from before.

first time for me to try vegas ......iam stickin to it .... been workin with it all night trying to get used to it ..... love it !!

iam using the trial of vegas 7 ....seen some posts on vegas 8 comin out ...do i wait for 8 ? or no big difference and just buy 7 ?

If you need to cut now, buy now. But if you can wait , V8 will probably be the better choice.

one more thing ..can't see it ....will seem stupid ...i need to move all the edited video ...on the time line ..

but i just can't seem to high light it all and move it ...can't see where ...have to move one by one ..

some one point for me where that button is lol

click the selection tool (the arrow cursor looking one on the taskbar) highlight all you want, go to normal tool and slide it all.

Ctrl-A probably works, too. And there's probably a "Select all" in the Edit menu.

got it ..thanks guys ...........the program is great, i got used to it and did my first video with it .......would vote for vegas other than other programs
