Why the hell are people only posting hyper-overrated Hollywood schmuck? The 80's had much more original films than these...

"Hollywood schmuck?"

I always loved that word "schmuck"... I think the better use of it was on the bloopers of "Meet the Fockers", when Hoffman said it to De Niro in an NG sequence... COuldn't stop laughing!

Sorry for the intermission, there...

"Schmuck" means "jewelry" in German, so StefanHaynes might be saying something other than what he thinks.

Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Empire Strikes Back
E.T. The Extra Terrestrial
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Return of the Jedi
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Blade Runner
The Shining
Field of Dreams
Back to the Future
The Terminator

Edit:
The above films happened to come out in the 80's...but I consider them great all-around films, and not "80's Films" per se. When I think "80's films", I think Top Gun, Ferris Bueller, Raising Arizona, The Karate Kid, Weird Science, etc. and anything starring Anthony Michael Hall or Molly Ringwald...

I think there are common elements to films from a certain decade, whatever the genre. Certain visual styles are in vogue (the '80s had gorgeous color saturation), certain music styles, directorial styles, VFX styles, etc.. You wouldn't have much problem pegging the decade those films were made from a few glances.

Its a funny sounding word... Didn't want to start a debate here about the word... I'm such a schmuck...
