Just got my cam and anything I shoot ends up with massive dropped frames when I capture. I'm using Vegas 7e. Something I'm doing wrong or a setting off?

Hey. What brand of tape are you using? Let us know your PC and any apps you might be running in the background as well.
I use Panasonic MQ tapes and I've had one dropped frame in the last 35 hours of footage. I capture with Vegas on a P4 3.2C with 2GB of ram, running 14 processes in the background (XP).

I'm using PQ's. 1.47 amd xp, 2gb ram, all background apps turned off as well as interenet. Windows XP SP2. It's strange, I used the windows movie maker and it captured fine. I used a laptop with the exact same version of Vegas and it was fine everytime. Must just be something with this installation of Vegas/PC. Probably due for a reinstall anyway.
