To be honest I kind of liked the more saturated images. Ver cool look. What brevis diffuser did you use? What did you do in post?

Now that I'm editing I like the saturated ones more but they are a little noisy. I didn't do any post yet, I got that in camera but I kind of wished I didn't push the saturation so much live and did it in post because of the noise.
I was using the CF1 diffuser on this.

You may think they're noisy, Aram, but I doubt the client will notice a thing. Looks great, as always. Just makes me wish I had an HVX to pair with my Brevis.

The saturation I believe was maxed out on the camera on the day 2 shots. I started with one of Barry's files and then tweaked it around some.

The white tee shirts were KILLING me though with exposure balance.

Yeah, all i did was shrink them for bandwidth so far. I'm not sure how I'm going to CC them yet. I have to make a few styles and send it off for approval.

Good news. I was able to get DTS a performance gig for a fashion week show on the strength of this video.

I guess it would depend on what you are looking for. I shot all the beginning stuff with the color in camera but got stuck when trying to tweak the colors because it made the image real noisy. I probably should have kept the same over all color but just de-saturate it in camera for later post re-saturation. I'm shooting tests for another video for next month for a new artist on a major label and they want a specific look so what I'm going to do is shoot flat with a slight coloring in camera leaning towards what I want to get the highlights the tint I want. Its whats in my head for now, the test might make me do something else. The interiors are no problem for the look but they want wads of people in the street so I have to test that with natural lighting.
I use filters here and there but nothing specific that I use all the time. I used a softFX warm on the interior of the beginning of this video to give color to all the white walls in the apartment.

We had a great showcase the other night and were asked to another one on the 29th. We also were asked to be on a local hip-hop radio program on their maiden show Sat. Dec 1st. 10pm. on 91.9FM.

The music video also just got on Video Music Boxs rotation. I don't know what channel that is though.

Grandmaster Flash has also seen the video and really liked it so hes "showing it to some people" and to expect a call.

Not bad for unsigned artists and a manager that doesn't know what the hell he is doing. We are not making any money yet but we are having fun.

Today was the first day we worked with a real producer to create the music for us so it fits hand in glove with the lyrics. So far the music is sounding kick ass. Things are looking good on the music front. We have a label trying to get us to sign pretty aggressively thats under Def Jam but we are waiting to see what the contract is all about and if the younger MC can still finish out high school without it interfering. The money offered is good but until the fine print has been deciphered no ink will touch the paper. We are trying to negotiate being part of the team without actually being signed for now so we are free to do our thing with who and when we want. Decisions, decisions...

Ok so the good news is that we got picked up by the Ebony Music group to help develop the kids to get them a major label deal. This summer we will be playing at some major venues as part of the promotions and will be now going to be working with big producers to get the music up to par.
