Okay. I'm playing with my new HPX500 and there's a red dot at the bottom left of the viewfinder with an exclamation mark under it!

I push the display function and in hte middle of the screen it says this:

!LED: Shut

I open and close the door little flip out screen and it makes no difference. I open and close the eyepice door and no difference.

I looked through all the warning section and viewfinder section of the manual and couldn't find anything. I'm syre if it was a Barry Green Manual I would find it :)

I also bought some used anton bauer batteries and though they say 14.4V on them when I put one in the viewfinder stated it was 16V is that a problem?

I'm kinda new to these big cameras so I hope these wuastions aren't too stupid.

Shut-ter .. it means that you have a non-standard shutter speed engaged.

Hi,

Look through you menus. There is a menu called LED! You can select from the list when to recieve and alert that you have a function on. In this case you have the shutter on. Turn off the shutter with the switch in front and it will go away.

All AB batteries start at 16v, at least the new ones do. Check in the Battery section of the menu and make sure that the battery you are using is the battery that is selected. It will give you better feedback as you use the battery and the battery useage will be in accordance with the design of the battery.

Hope this helps,

Jan
