I'm trying my best to keep up with everyone. It seems as though some people are quite far along already! You guys have shoot dates scheduled -- cast and crew secured -- scripts being polished. I'm so far behind.
But! At least I do have a small update. Below I've attached a teaser poster for my short which I've decided to title "A Game of Shadows." The film will feature venetian masks! Isn't that cool?
Let's see...what else? Oh! I have an audio clip that I'll share. I'm enjoying putting together some music while I write the script. It helps get me in the mood and visualize thing better, I'm finding. Here's a very rough clip of a theme that may or may not appear in the final product:

Feedback is, of course, very welcome!
The script is coming along...I hope that it won't be much longer now before I have a complete rough draft. Still quite interested in hearing from anyone who'd like to help in the production -- either on the acting side or the technical side.

I promised myself that I wouldn't make a thread until after I had finished writing the script. Somehow, I managed to break that promise immediately after writing only the title page. Everyone looked like they were having so much fun in their threads that I couldn't resist! At least I have "the idea," though, and I'm very excited about it.
Also! I'd love to collaborate with people! I live on Long Island, and I have a hunch that quite a few of you live around the city. I'll solo my own project if I have to, but I'd absolutely love to work with one or two people who are more technically proficient than myself (which isn't really a tall order). In particular, directors of photography, sound engineers, etc.
At some point, I'll need to track down actors too. Hrm...
