View Full Version : P2 Footage LOCKED FILES

Hey, I cleared my drive after using the P2 cards, so I have a trash can full of files.
I'm on a mac. When I empty trash, I get a message that says that the operation cannot be completed because the item is locked.
If anyone knows how I might unlock these files, please tell me! I need my space back!

The PC has that too once in a while and there is a little utility called unlocker assistant for PC, I'm sure someone has made one for the mac somewhere.

I am very interested in a program that does this, but the long way is to open "get info" and uncheck the "lock" button.

Doing a "force empty trash can" by control/clicking on the trash can itself works for me everytime. Cake!

I think if you "get info" on the items in the trash you can change it from being locked. But you have to do it for each one.

Hold down the option key while you click empty trash.
That'll do the trick.

Programs like Onyx will also force empty the trash.
