I may have the opportunity to buy this camera in the next week...but my budget will not permit for me to upgrade my editing suite for HD capabilities...
If I do get the camera, will I be able to basically replace my DVX100 with it, and use it, for now, as an SD cam? For the time being, I'd need it to shoot widescreen SD on mini-dv tapes, and edit on Adobe premiere pro 1.5. could the same be done with the XL H1?
Reason being I have a potential buyer for my used DVX100, and I'd like to unload it while the offer's there, but I do still need a camera right now.
Sorry if this is a ridiculous question, I'm just overwhelmed by the abundance of information on these cameras. Thanks.
