I'm currenty deciding to upgrade my camera, most of my work is corporate and local TV commercials with the odd national commercial every now and then. I own a DVcam 570 and an old Digital Betacam which I do my broadcast work on. I've been looking at the 500 with great interest the last coulpe of weeks.
My big question is does it have the rich color depth that I get with my Digi beta?
I havn't gone and seen the camera to try it out yet (to busy) and the only footage I've looked has been online. I'm still yet to be convinced. It has all the specs that I'm after in a camera and the P2 format is a god send. Its really tempting me. I'm itching to go HD.
