I'm mildly freaking out because I turned on my hvx200 today, and noticed a strange, loud buzzing sound coming from the lense when I zoom in or out. It happens once I pass the focal length of 10 and continues all the way up to 55.
The sound is there if the servo is engaged or disengaged. Putting my ear up to the lense, I hear what sounds like a motor, or something. Has anyone ever experienced this problem?
The sound goes away when the camcorder is put into mcr mode, or turned off.
Any thoughts before I take it in for repair?
The unit was purchased a week ago, and can confirm that no one has tried to turn the ring when the servo is engaged. I use it 100% in manual mode.
