View Full Version : hvx200 + letus fe test
hey here is a test i made with my new letus fe, shot with reversal preset of the barry s dvd and cc on fcp
http://www.vitrinetwork.com/seb/playa.mov
i saw some people on the forum telling that letus and hvx was boad together because of the grain or whatever but on my experience i think it s extremely good

Hey that looks really good! I've always been told that the LEtus exhibits a lot of grain with the HVX but it looks like it's improved.
At that price point, it's pretty darned good.

Hey TimurCivan,
Didn't we just see videos of you and your girlfriend at the beach at Coney?

as i said i film with the reversal scene, when you film with the letus the shutter speed must stay at 60, because of the vibrating stuff, i cc in fc with the 3 way cc to have a good exposition of the light, but the color and the contrast come from the scene file

If this is true, what adapters don't use the vibration?

Some use vibrating ground glass (like the Letus and the mini35) and some use spinning (like the M2). There are advantages to each approach; the mini35 used to be spinning (series 300 and earlier) and migrated to vibrating (for series 400).
The MovieTube uses a static ground glass; it seems like the ultimate approach would be static if it was possible to get it grain-free. Lower-cost static adapters always seem to have a permanent layer of grain over the image.
C’est jolie vidéo. Ès que c’est France le sud ? J’ai le Letus aussi et sa marche très bien.
I'm going to have to put some tests up. My first tests looked really great... all except for the fact that I forgot to turn on the vibrating gg on half the shots, doh!
